 County Highway Department


The County Highway Department is responsible for the maintenance of the County's approximately 1200 miles of roads, 500 bridges, and roadside ditches. Of the 1200 miles of road, about 300 are paved or concrete, 600 are rock, and 300 are unimproved. 42 men and women are employed at the highway garage.
